What do you get for the Dad who has everything?

My bright idea for Father's Day this year was to take the Dads on a fishing charter. A good friend of mine recommended a Charter Captain that he had personally been going out with for the last 4 summers. Captain Dennis Bidigare of Bidigare Charters in Oscoda, Michigan was everything my friend promised.

After about an hour and a half on the water, we had not caught anything. There were some nibbles, but nothing to set a hook in. We were hearing from other boat captains in our vicinity that they were packing it in and heading for richer waters. Captain Dennis laughed and put more lines on the water. 15 minutes later, we had our first fish on. My Dad landed the first fish, a pretty nice sized Lake Trout. Over the next 4 hours, we caught and boated 8 more fish, including 2 nice looking King Salmon (5th and 6th from the left in all the pictures) caught by Tammie's Dad and myself.

We had an absolutely beautiful day for a boat ride and managed to catch some nice fish to boot. As far as I am concerned, it was the best Father's Day ever!
