PUT YOUR RED ON!!!!

It was a heartbreaking end to the 2002-2003 season, but the 2002 Stanley Cup Champions will be back in October to regain their title. A few new faces have been added to the lineup and a few old, familiar faces have taken their leave. The most notable lineup change brings an old, familiar face back to defend the Wings goal. Dominik Hasek, The Dominator, has ended his 1 year retirement and will be back in net for the Detroit Red Wings. Welcome back Dom!

However, there is a dark cloud looming over the return of the Dominator. In an article dated May 20, 2003, Radio Prague posted an article on it's website referencing an altercation with another player during an inline hockey game in his native Czech Republic. For the full story, click here.

According to a follow up article on ESPN.com, dated July 25, the Czech Police have completed their investigation and charges should be brought up against Dominik Hasek soon. Hopefully this will not interfere with his ability to tend the Red Wings goal in the 2003-2004 season. We shall see.

GO RED WINGS!!!!!
